The episodes released on the 20th of this month on TVING Original showcased a whirlwind romance for Yumi, played by Kim Go-eun. The mysterious cell village of Soonrok, portrayed by Kim Jae-won, was unveiled for the first time, unraveling the enigma surrounding his character.
In episodes 3 and 4, Yumi misunderstood Soonrok's request to change teams, thinking he didn't want to work with her. Soonrok, overwhelmed by Yumi's barrage of questions, accidentally got off the train. In reality, Soonrok is a homebody who operates in low-power mode outside. His cell village, which struggled to function, lit up when he returned home, revealing why his short responses to Yumi's small talk seemed cold.
After missing the train, Yumi's heart fluttered when she saw Soonrok rushing to catch up. Soonrok explained, "I couldn't answer earlier, but it was indeed due to a scheduling conflict. There was no other reason, and I apologize if you misunderstood." This cleared up Yumi's misconceptions about Soonrok. She realized that, like her, Soonrok is a homebody who wears glasses to appear aloof because he finds social interactions burdensome.
Yumi joined Soonrok and Juho on a bookstore street outing, hoping to spend time with Soonrok, but things didn't go as planned. Juho told Yumi that Soonrok had left due to work, which upset her. In reality, Juho had sent Soonrok away to spend time with Yumi, but she didn't know this and felt disappointed by Soonrok's apparent lack of interest.
Soonrok's feelings for Yumi remained a mystery. He offered to inform Juho if Yumi was only accompanying them out of obligation. When Daeyong, played by Jeon Seok-ho, asked if Yumi and Juho seemed compatible, Soonrok replied, "They don't seem to match well." Overhearing this, Yumi's heart raced, but she left the workshop's after-party without getting a chance to talk to Soonrok.
Soonrok followed Yumi, offering to escort her home, saying it was too late. When Soonrok mentioned going to the movies, Yumi gathered her courage and suggested they watch together. Although Soonrok initially declined, preferring to watch alone, he later lied to Juho, saying Yumi was at the theater, and asked her, "Would you like to watch a movie together?" Yumi's heart raced as she replied, "Didn't you say you prefer watching alone?" Soonrok's sweet proposal, "Would you like to watch together?" heightened anticipation for their evolving relationship.
