South Korea's First Trot Chart Show 'The Trot Show' Returns After Hiatus
South Korea's pioneering trot chart show, 'The Trot Show,' is set to make its comeback after a period of reorganization.

According to SBS LIFE, 'The Trot Show' will air live on the 13th. After a six-month hiatus for reorganization, 'The Trot Show' is returning with ambitious plans to engage with fans until 2026, aiming to further invigorate the trot music scene.

The broadcast on the 13th will feature Hong Ji-yoon, the winner of MBN's 'Current King of Singers 3,' as a special MC. The show will also see performances from a host of trot stars including Kang Hye-yeon, Geum Jan-di, Kim Eui-young, Na Tae-joo, The Blue, My Jin, Song Ga-in, Shin Yoo, Ahn Sung-hoon, Yang Ji-eun, Lee Soo-yeon, Jo Jung-min, Choi Soo-ho, Hong Ji-yoon, and Hwang Woo-rim.

The producers of 'The Trot Show' have reportedly put great effort into the lineup for the first broadcast to reward the long wait of trot fans. Each week will feature a different theme and new concept, with voting conducted through the global fandom platform Star Planet app, including both pre-broadcast and live voting. This promises to double the enjoyment for trot fans, offering both viewing and participatory fun.

'The Trot Show' originally aired as a spin-off of 'The Show' on February 10, 2021, and became the first trot ranking program in South Korea, gaining significant popularity. After airing its 151st episode on November 10, 2025, the show took a break for reorganization and is now set to resume broadcasting on the 13th.

Meanwhile, 'The Trot Show' will air every Monday at 8 PM on SBS LIFE, starting from the 13th.
