Paparazzi shots from the set of the film 'Wanted', starring Shin Hyun-joon, have surfaced online, creating a buzz.
The 'paparazzi photos' of lead actor Shin Hyun-joon have heated up the internet, bringing the film 'Wanted' back into the spotlight. Over the weekend, photos of Shin Hyun-joon and a woman in a friendly pose spread across social media and online communities, capturing attention.
In the released photos, Shin Hyun-joon is seen in casual attire, smiling and conversing closely with a mysterious woman in an alleyway. Their unguarded eye contact and light physical interaction, seemingly unaware of the camera, sparked curiosity, with some speculating about a potential scandal as the images quickly circulated online.
However, it was revealed that the photos were taken on the set of 'Wanted', providing a twist to the story. The natural performances of the two actors were captured as if in a real-life scenario, leading to the misunderstanding. Interest also grew in the mysterious woman in the photos, Taiwanese actress Regina Lei. Regina Lei is an emerging actress making a name for herself in both film and TV in Taiwan. She gained recognition in Korea after winning the Asian Newcomer Award at the 2024 11th Seoul International Film Festival and later starred as 'Bangul' in the Disney+ series [Twelve]. In 'Wanted', she plays the enigmatic character 'Yanfei', who holds the key to the story, adding tension alongside Shin Hyun-joon.
Meanwhile, 'Wanted' is a doppelgänger buddy comedy about a common man 'Hyun-jun' who gets caught up in an unexpected chase with the police due to a criminal 'Chul-gu' who looks exactly like him. Directed by Shin Jae-ho, known for hits like 'My Love, My Bride' and 'Outlaw', the film features Shin Hyun-joon in a dual role as both the ordinary postman 'Hyun-jun' and the wanted criminal 'Chul-gu'. The cast also includes Kim Byung-man, Bae Woo-hee, and Regina Lei, promising a diverse synergy.
'Wanted' is set to hit theaters nationwide this June.
