They further expressed, “We sincerely wish Jung Woo success in his future endeavors, allowing him to showcase his unique style in various activities.” Jung Woo also expressed gratitude towards his long-time agency, indicating that they are parting on good terms with mutual support. Having signed an exclusive contract in 2019, Jung Woo will remain with BH Entertainment until the release of his first directorial film, 'Jjangu,' in 2026.

Jung Woo has expanded his presence with his genuine charm and empathetic acting. He gained public affection with his role as 'Jjangu' in the 2009 film 'Wind,' and further solidified his strong presence with the 'Trash' syndrome in the 2013 tvN drama 'Reply 1994.'

Since then, he has showcased a wide acting spectrum in films like 'C'est Si Bon,' 'The Himalayas,' 'New Trial,' 'Heungbu,' 'Best Friend,' 'Hot Blooded,' and dramas like 'Mad for Each Other,' continuing his active career.

Jung Woo is set to embark on a new challenge as a director. As he stands at a new starting line, leaving mutual support behind, there is anticipation for his next steps.

Jung Woo married actress Kim Yoo-mi in 2016. The film 'Jjangu,' in which he stars and directs, is set to release in theaters on April 24.
