'Delicious Guys' Struggles with Low Ratings Despite PD Lee Young-sik's Return

The popular Korean variety show 'Delicious Guys' continues to struggle with low ratings, even after the return of PD Lee Young-sik.

On the 27th, the 558th episode of Comedy TV's 'Delicious Guys' featured a special episode titled 'Skewers in Bloom,' where cast members Kim Jun-hyun, Moon Se-yoon, Hwang Je-sung, and Kim Hae-jun, collectively known as 'Ddongchinz,' showcased a variety of skewer dishes. The episode recorded a viewership rating of 0.2%.

The Ddongchinz began their skewer journey at a restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, with a unique 'primitive skewer grill' experience. They expressed admiration for the exotic method of grilling food on bamboo skewers over a brazier, enjoying a variety of skewered dishes including chicken, pork, and lamb.

Hwang Je-sung, impressed by the praise from his fellow members for the first skewer dish, used his 'one bite' opportunity, exclaiming, "It's art," and "The sauce is so delicious," showing high satisfaction and tempting viewers' taste buds. Kim Jun-hyun also humorously expressed his intention to revisit the skewers, saying, "See you again soon."

The Ddongchinz then visited a Japanese skewer specialty restaurant, ordering 39 skewers and ramen from the start, showcasing their large appetite. They divided the skewers into three courses, indulging in a variety of kushikatsu such as beef short ribs, rolled omelets, scallops, and shiitake mushrooms, leaving viewers feeling full just by watching.

In line with the 'Skewers in Bloom' theme, the 'Delicious Guys' consumed over 100 skewers in a day, completing a comprehensive skewer feast. 'Delicious Guys' airs every Friday at 8 PM.

Meanwhile, 'THE Delicious Guys,' which saw Kim Jun-hyun return after three years, reverted to its original title 'Delicious Guys' after 1 year and 6 months, following the return of PD Lee Young-sik in February. However, the ratings remain stagnant at 0.2-0.4%.
