Star chefs Jung Ho-young and Sam Kim are set to appear on '2 Days & 1 Night'.
The upcoming episode of KBS2's variety show '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4', airing on the 29th, will feature the first part of the 'Spring Table Battle: Taste vs. Taste' in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do.
Joining this adventure are chefs Jung Ho-young and Sam Kim, who showcased their perfect chemistry as rivals and friends on Netflix's 'Black and White Chef 2'. Known for their intense 1-on-1 culinary battles on the show, they will now split into 'Team Jung Ho-young' and 'Team Sam Kim' alongside the '2 Days & 1 Night' members for a 3-on-4 cooking showdown using seasonal ingredients. Notably, 'Saint Chef' Sam Kim, eager to avenge his past defeat, displays an uncharacteristically fierce determination, surprising the members.
True to their rivalry, the two chefs engage in a fiery war of words from the opening, critiquing each other's cooking. Jung Ho-young teases, "His cooking is limited," and "He can't cook without olive oil," while Sam Kim retorts, "Jung Ho-young's dishes are overly sweet," and "Without sugar and cooking wine, he's lost."
Before the main cooking battle, both teams tackle various missions to secure advantageous ingredients. As variety show novices, Jung Ho-young and Sam Kim struggle to adapt, while Kim Jong-min, a 19-year veteran of '2 Days & 1 Night', impresses with his keen observation skills, catching details others miss.
Throughout the missions, Kim Jong-min earns the nickname 'Kimchokmin' for his sharp instincts, providing both success in challenges and plenty of laughs. His outstanding performance leaves Jung Ho-young and Sam Kim in awe.
Catch the '2 Days & 1 Night' members' Mokpo adventure on '2 Days & 1 Night Season 4', airing at 6:10 PM.
