Actor Bae Sung-woo Expresses Regret to Brother Bae Sung-jae Over Past Incident
Actor Bae Sung-woo has expressed his regret towards his brother, announcer Bae Sung-jae.

On the 26th, an interview with Bae Sung-woo was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding his film 'The Roundup: No Way Out.' This marked Bae Sung-woo's first interview with the press since his DUI incident.

During the interview, when asked to say a few words to his brother, who might have faced difficulties due to the incident, Bae Sung-woo appeared troubled. He admitted, "We've been awkward since childhood," and after a moment of contemplation while sipping his coffee, he added, "That's the hardest part. He, that person, that friend, must have gone through some emotional struggles."

At the time, Bae Sung-jae had addressed the issue on his radio show, stating, "As a family member, I apologize. His name will never be mentioned on the broadcast again," showing his firm stance.

Bae Sung-woo further commented, "I feel sorry, but I'm glad he seems to be doing well with his wife. It's more awkward because we're family." Bae Sung-jae married announcer Kim Da-young, who is 14 years his junior, in May last year after two years of dating.

'The Roundup: No Way Out' is a crime investigation drama about a detective named Jae-hyuk (played by Bae Sung-woo), who is demoted to a rural area and teams up with rookie detective Joong-ho (played by Jung Ga-ram) to solve a murder case involving two suspects. Originally set to release in 2020, the film was delayed for seven years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Bae Sung-woo's DUI controversy. It is now set to release on the 2nd of next month.
