Comedian Park Myung-soo has expressed his view that BTS's performance at Gwanghwamun is an achievement beyond economic valuation.
On the October 23rd broadcast of KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show,' Park Myung-soo responded to a listener's comparison between himself and BTS, stating that "the comparison itself is embarrassing." He recalled hosting two public broadcasts of his own show at Gwanghwamun in the past, drawing crowds of about 2,000 to 3,000 people.
Park also mentioned his friendship with BTS members Suga and Jin, particularly praising Jin's appearance, saying, "He is still handsome."
Addressing the recent debate over the success of BTS's Gwanghwamun performance, Park shared his thoughts, stating, "There are various discussions about its success, but it should be viewed from the perspective of national prestige." He emphasized that "the value of broadcasting Gwanghwamun to 196 countries worldwide cannot be converted into monetary terms," adding that this is an achievement only BTS could accomplish.
Meanwhile, on October 21st, 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' was held at Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square to celebrate BTS's return. The event was broadcast live globally via Netflix.
