South Korean actor Lee Jae-ryong, 61, was arrested for a hit-and-run incident while driving under the influence.
According to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, Lee crashed into a central divider near Samseong Jungang Station on Seoul Subway Line 9 around 2 a.m. on the 7th and fled the scene. He was apprehended by the police after parking his vehicle at his home and visiting a friend's house.
Lee's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at a level warranting license suspension. The Gangnam Police are currently investigating him for violating the Road Traffic Act, including charges of failing to take necessary measures after the accident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Lee Jae-ryong married actress Yoo Ho-jung in 1995, and they have a son and a daughter. He previously had his license revoked in 2003 for drunk driving and was charged with property damage in 2019 for destroying a bowling alley sign while intoxicated. Last month, he appeared on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhyeong Shin Dong-yup' with Yoon Da-hoon, Sung Ji-roo, and Ahn Jae-wook, participating in a drinking broadcast.
