On April 4th, the organizers of the Danjong Culture Festival announced via their official social media channels, "We would like to inform you that actor Park Ji-hoon will not be attending the Danjong Culture Festival. Please be aware of this."
Previously, Park Ji-hoon had shared a video message on the official social media of the Yeongwol Festival, congratulating the festival's upcoming event. In the message, Park Ji-hoon stated, "I am actor Park Ji-hoon, who played Danjong in the movie 'The Man Who Lives with the King.' During this project, I wanted to sincerely understand and convey the loneliness, pain, and inner stories that Danjong might have felt as a person before being a king."
He continued, "It was a precious time for me to look at and feel history more closely. Thanks to the clear nature and warm people in Yeongwol, where the movie was filmed, I was able to shoot with a happy heart." He added, "The 59th Danjong Culture Festival will be held in the precious Yeongwol from April 24th to 26th for three days."
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets on the 6th, 'The Man Who Lives with the King' added 180,000 viewers the previous day, bringing its total to approximately 9.77 million viewers. It is expected to become a ten-million-viewer film this weekend.
