JTBC Unveils Title Poster for New Drama 'Fighting One's Own Worthlessness' Starring Koo Kyo-hwan
JTBC has released the title poster for its new weekend drama 'Fighting One's Own Worthlessness,' featuring lead actor Koo Kyo-hwan.

'Fighting One's Own Worthlessness' (abbreviated as 'FOW') follows the journey of a man struggling to find peace amidst jealousy and envy, feeling left behind among his successful friends. The drama aims to resonate with modern audiences by addressing the universal feeling of anxiety and offering hope to those halted by the red light of worthlessness.

The title poster introduces the character Hwang Dong-man, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, who has been preparing for his directorial debut for 20 years. Surrounded by successful friends in the film industry, he harbors feelings of inadequacy. To mask his perceived worthlessness, he engages in incessant chatter, hiding his deep-seated anxiety. The poster depicts him hunched over, seemingly isolated, yet his mind tells a different story. Despite appearing lethargic, he is engaged in a relentless battle against his feelings of worthlessness.

This internal struggle is vividly illustrated by the large shadow cast behind him in the poster. The shadow looms like a warrior, ready to strike an invisible foe, symbolizing his determination to confront his worthlessness. The dynamic silhouette of the shadow captures the essence of his fight.

The production team stated, "The title poster uses the visual metaphor of a shadow to represent the inner darkness that makes one feel worthless. While Dong-man appears to be in despair, his inner world is a battleground of countless struggles. We hope his cries from the depths will serve as a powerful encouragement to everyone fighting their own worthlessness."

'FOW' is set to premiere in April.
