Former announcer and current broadcaster Choi Eun-kyung, 53, has revealed her fitness secrets to maintaining a body fat percentage of 16.9%.
Choi appeared as a guest on the KBS1TV show 'Morning Forum' on October 3rd.
During the show, Choi addressed rumors about her diet, specifically the claim that she avoids carbohydrates. She clarified, "I only eat carbohydrates. I love rice cakes, bread, and snacks," emphasizing that she does not restrict her food choices.
Regarding her eating habits, Choi stated, "I love exercising and eat whatever I want," adding, "I don't eat late at night, overeat, or binge eat," but she stressed, "I never restrict the types of food I eat."
On the topic of exercise, Choi explained, "Exercise is more of a personal healing time for me rather than just for maintaining my figure. I don't drink or go out much, so it's my alone time." She also mentioned that she has been committed to exercising since her days as an announcer.
In her 50s, Choi offered advice to those in her age group who are concerned about their health. She remarked, "People my age often say they're in pain, and I am too. I injured my elbow playing soccer and couldn't use it for three years. Don't overdo it with exercise," advising, "Instead of focusing on getting abs, just start by walking."
Choi also shared cost-effective exercise tips. She said, "People always ask me, 'Should I do Pilates or strength training?' Why spend money from the start? Just go out and walk. I love going to Namsan and the Han River. Just doing that makes a big difference."
Born in 1973, Choi Eun-kyung, who recently revealed her body fat percentage of 16.9%, has been in the spotlight. She married a university professor in 1998 and has one son. Recently, Choi moved from her long-time residence in Apgujeong, Seoul, to a new home.
