Q. How do you feel about the drama 'I've Got a Baby' ending?
A. It doesn't feel real that it's over, as it was a project I was part of for a long time. I laughed a lot, worried a lot, and learned a lot during filming, so thinking it's over brings a bittersweet feeling. Above all, I think I was able to finish happily thanks to the viewers who loved 'Hwang Mi-ran.'
Q. The character 'Hwang Mi-ran' drew reactions like 'a friend I want' and 'I want to support Hwang Mi-ran's love.' What did you focus on most in portraying 'Hwang Mi-ran'?
A. Hwang Mi-ran is a bright and lovable character, but I didn't want her to seem like a simple, light character. I tried to express that she is a person with sincerity and warmth beneath her cheerful exterior. I especially wanted to convey authenticity in the way Mi-ran interacts with those around her, in her small gestures and glances.
Q. You've played various characters before. What do you think is unique about 'Hwang Mi-ran'?
A. I think Mi-ran is a very realistic character with positive energy. Her biggest charm is being someone who is supportive and uplifting to have around. Her honest and brave demeanor in love was particularly impressive.
Q. Your chemistry with Oh Yeon-seo and model-turned-actor Hong Jong-hyun stood out. How was the atmosphere and teamwork on set?
A. The set with Yeon-seo and Jong-hyun was truly enjoyable. We had many scenes together, and it felt comfortable like being with real friends. It was a set full of consideration and laughter, which naturally led to great chemistry.
Q. Do you have a favorite scene from 'I've Got a Baby,' and why?
A. I remember the scenes where Mi-ran's emotions were most honestly portrayed. I have a personal fondness for the scenes where she courageously confesses to Min-wook. Those scenes made Mi-ran appear more three-dimensional.
Q. What did you gain from this project?
A. It was a project that made me deeply reconsider how to express a character. I learned that even within a bright character, various nuances can be shown. It was a work that allowed me to grow both in acting and emotionally.
Q. 'I've Got a Baby' topped the weekly viewer rankings on the Asian entertainment-focused global OTT platform Rakuten Viki and held the number one spot for four weeks on Japan's OTT platform U-NEXT. How do you feel about its international popularity, and do you have a message for global fans?
A. I was truly surprised and grateful to hear about the positive response on international platforms. Knowing that it was loved not only domestically but also abroad gives me great strength as an actor. I sincerely thank all the global fans who support us from afar.
Q. Are you satisfied with Hwang Mi-ran's ending? What would you like to say to Hwang Mi-ran?
A. I think it was a warm and lovely ending, fitting for Mi-ran. I would like to say, "Thank you for living true to yourself." She will be a character that remains in my memory for a long time.
