Actress Kang Min-ah has been confirmed to star in the upcoming drama 'Empathy Cells.' She will take on the role of a former girl group idol who seeks psychological counseling due to controversies surrounding her acting skills.

The new romantic comedy 'Empathy Cells' explores the journey of a woman who denies empathy and a man who embraces it. Through a surreal event known as 'emotional transfer,' they invade each other's worlds and relearn emotions.

In the drama, Kang Min-ah plays 'Yoo Ji-an,' a former girl group idol who once enjoyed immense popularity as a 'national idol.' Raised under her mother's strict management, Ji-an has suppressed her emotions since childhood. Her lack of empathy leads to acting controversies, putting her career at risk. She meets psychological counselor Cha Eun-hwan and experiences an unexpected 'emotional transfer,' through which she begins to rediscover her lost emotions and grow.
