Kim Jaejoong's Parents Stunned by Mukbang Star Hibab's Epic Eating Display on 'New Release, Pyeonstorang'

On the recent episode of KBS 2TV's 'New Release, Pyeonstorang' aired on the 10th, Kim Jaejoong, known as the 'Nation's Dutiful Son' and a central figure in Asia, invited a female guest to his parents' home for the first time. The guest was none other than Hibab, a mukbang creator and a close friend of Kim Jaejoong. Kim's parents were left in shock by Hibab's incredible eating performance, humorously stating, “We almost fainted.”

Kim Jaejoong informed his parents, “I’m inviting a female guest for the first time.” His parents, filled with anticipation, couldn't hide their excitement, even discussing their ideal daughter-in-law. Kim Jaejoong prepared customized dishes like bean hamburger steak, jokingly noting, “She seems to be overdoing it on TV these days.” The 'Pyeonstorang' crew teased Kim, saying, “She must be a celebrity,” adding to the laughter.

When Hibab arrived, Kim Jaejoong's parents, unaware of her identity, watched from a distance, pretending not to notice while sneakily observing their conversation. Unable to contain his curiosity, Kim's father joined the table, complimenting Hibab, “You eat so heartily,” and “You look pretty eating so well,” amusing everyone.

Unaware of the misunderstanding, Hibab played along with the parents' questions, earning high marks as a potential daughter-in-law. Kim's father even promised to treat her to delicious gopchang next time. Watching his parents' assumptions, Kim Jaejoong humorously remarked, “This shouldn’t be happening,” while holding his forehead.

However, the atmosphere quickly turned to 'shock' as Hibab continued her impressive eating display. She consumed a total of 36 servings, including 4 servings of bean hamburger steak, a plate of pancakes, a plate of cherry tomatoes, 22 servings (4kg) of beef intestines, and 10 servings of bibim noodles made by Kim's mother. Kim's mother exclaimed, “I feel like I’m going to faint,” while Kim's father, worried about his promise to treat her to gopchang, added to the laughter in the 'Pyeonstorang' studio.

Additionally, Hibab's impressive earnings were revealed. She disclosed that during her peak, she earned over 100 million won per month solely from views. Kim Jaejoong commented, “Sometimes, she earns more than I do.” The charm of Hibab, who even captivated Kim's parents, and Kim Jaejoong's kindness in cooking and caring for his friend, provided viewers with a delightful experience.
