EXO's Kai and KickFlip's Gyehoon Stir Up Excitement in 'The Transfer Student' Season 8

The popular variety show 'The Transfer Student: The Man Who Transfers Every Day' (hereafter referred to as 'The Transfer Student') by multi-platform production company OOTB, led by CEO Lee Hyun-sook, has returned for its eighth season. This season has garnered significant attention with the unique meeting of 'Original Idol' EXO's Kai and 'Rising Idol' KickFlip's Gyehoon.

In the episode released on the 9th, Kai's first visit to a women's university was featured, drawing explosive interest. At the main gate of Sookmyung Women's University, Kai simulated a boyfriend experience, capturing hearts, and engaged in an impromptu skit with Gyehoon in a classroom, eliciting laughter. Kai humorously introduced Gyehoon to the 'Transfer Student' universe by saying, "We're friends here, so speak informally," and joked, "Sookmyung's initials are SM, so those from JYP can't enter," while teasing Gyehoon, who is new to college life, about bringing indoor shoes, showcasing their perfect idol chemistry.

The duo then participated in a short-form content production practice through a media studies class. Gyehoon charmed the professor by calling her 'noona' and made bold flirtatious remarks during a shorts planning meeting, such as "I'm already checked in your heart," and "Just cling to me," prompting Kai's genuine admiration, "Where do you study?"

Furthermore, as the shorts filming began, Kai took charge with impressive camera work and dynamic movements, akin to a music show director, creating high-quality content. During lunch with students, he adeptly conducted interviews, delving into the current 'meal appointment' culture and the 'meeting ticketing' system that fills up in three seconds at women's universities, enhancing the immersion.

After completing all experiences, Gyehoon expressed his satisfaction, saying, "It was an honor to experience the campus life I've always dreamed of."

At the end of the episode, the appearance of 'Queen of K-pop' Hwasa was teased, heightening anticipation. For a casino dealer class, Kai and Hwasa donned dealer uniforms, and Hwasa humorously questioned the professor's explanation, "Why do you take back the tips in a democracy?" while learning about chip-throwing etiquette. Hwasa playfully tossed chips at Kai, saying, "Here's a tip," to which Kai responded with a bow, "Thank you!" promising explosive fun and excitement.

With the new semester, 'The Transfer Student' Season 8 is on a rapid rise, airing every Thursday at 6 PM on the ootb STUDIO YouTube channel. The casino dealer class experience with Kai and Hwasa will be available to subscribers on the 16th at 6 PM.
