Actors Geum Sae-rok (33) and Ryeoun (27) filled the 'YouTube Ha Ji-young' special with their candid and bold talk.
On January 18, the 'YouTube Ha Ji-young' featured the stars of the drama 'Bloody Flower,' Geum Sae-rok and Ryeoun, who revealed a special connection from their past.
In the video, Ha Ji-young set up a glamorous 'red' concept space to match the drama's theme, which Geum Sae-rok found touching, immersing herself in the atmosphere. During the talk, an unexpected past connection between Geum Sae-rok and Ryeoun was revealed. Ryeoun shared, "I attended an acting academy in high school, and Geum Sae-rok was an assistant teacher there." Geum Sae-rok added, "I wanted to do a part-time job close to acting, so I became an assistant. Ryeoun was a senior in high school then. It's amazing to work together now," creating a warm atmosphere.
The discussion continued with an introduction to 'Bloody Flower' and their roles. Ryeoun, who plays Lee Woo-gyeom, said, "I play a serial killer who has the ability to cure incurable diseases but has killed seventeen people. It was a heavy role, but now I want to challenge and experience it." Geum Sae-rok, who plays Cha I-yeon, said, "It's my first time playing a prosecutor. The character is competitive and has a compulsion to 'do well.' She sticks to her beliefs but grows as she encounters Lee Woo-gyeom."
The trio engaged in a candid talk through a 'Save or Kill' game, incorporating the drama's setting. If they could 'understand to some extent,' they chose 'Save'; if not, they chose 'Kill.'
For the first question, 'Someone who borrows 500,000 won and goes silent for three years before sending a wedding invitation?' Ryeoun firmly said, "It's not about the money but a lack of morality. I wouldn't respond," showing his MBTI 'T' trait. In contrast, Geum Sae-rok said, "I'd look into what happened in those three years, and if I understand, I'd attend the wedding," showing her MBTI 'F' trait.
For the second question, 'Someone who replies three days to a week late?' both shared unexpected confessions. Geum Sae-rok admitted, "I get scolded by friends for this. I can't multitask, so I delay replies," while Ryeoun agreed, revealing, "I have 999 unread messages," showing his phone. Geum Sae-rok was surprised, saying, "You're worse than me."
Regarding the question, 'When a senior insists on matching their acting style?' Ryeoun stated, "Criticism can be helpful, but 'just match me' is wrong," while Geum Sae-rok said, "The senior might be saying it because they want to do well but lack composure. I feel I need the ability to communicate calmly."
Ha Ji-young summarized their commonality as 'homebodies.' Ryeoun said, "I love being home. I have a cat, TV, game console, and an indoor bike. The moment I put on shoes and open the door, it feels like work," showing his introverted side.
They also shared their love for historical content. Geum Sae-rok said, "I fall asleep listening to 'Naked World History' these days. I watch it repeatedly and want to be a panelist." Ryeoun, influenced by his father who loves historical dramas, expressed his interest in history, showing affection for director Kim Han-min's works like 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' and 'Hansan.' He appealed, "Director, I can ride horses and handle swords well. I'd appreciate any role."
In line with the holiday special, they discussed holiday-related topics. Ryeoun recalled, "As a child, it was cold moving around early in the morning, but it was fun gathering with family and visiting ancestral graves." Geum Sae-rok shared, "We went to the bathhouse and paid respects to ancestors I never met," creating a warm atmosphere. They cited "When are you getting married?" and "You've gained weight" as the worst holiday questions. Ryeoun humorously added, "I ran away from younger cousins asking to play."
Finally, Geum Sae-rok expressed gratitude, saying, "I enjoyed talking like I would with a comfortable sister on 'YouTube Ha Ji-young.' Please support 'Bloody Flower' and the cast." Ryeoun also said, "I had a great time today. Please love 'Bloody Flower.'"
