Meanwhile, the election campaign between the Gong and Yang families reached its peak. In the heart of Onjeong Market, the two families exchanged sharp jabs in their bid to win public favor. Gong Jung-han's promise to eradicate unfair contracts and collusion clashed with Yang Dong-ik's pledge to attract a youth mall and establish a food zone, leading to a heated confrontation that escalated into a physical altercation.
On election day, Gong Jung-han and Yang Dong-ik engaged in a petty power struggle even in front of the ballot box. In a nail-biting finish, Gong Jung-han won by a single vote, a victory hailed as 'righteous' by Han Sung-mi (played by Yoo Ho-jung), who couldn't hide her smile.
The election results also revealed a surprising twist involving Yang Seon-chul (played by Joo Jin-mo). The night before the election, Gong Jung-han and Na Sun-hae (played by Kim Mi-sook) found Yang Seon-chul collapsed on the street and tended to him.
