Actress Lee Tae-ran Shares Her Journey from Bit Parts to Award-Winning Villain Roles
On the October 12th episode of TV Chosun's 'Baekban Journey with Heo Young-man', Lee Tae-ran explored the culinary delights of Hongseong.
Debuting in 1997, Lee Tae-ran shared, "After graduating high school, I worked at a company for three years while taking on bit parts as a side job."
Known for playing warm and friendly characters, Lee Tae-ran recently showcased a different side by portraying the villain Go Seong-hee in the KBS2 drama 'Glamorous Days'. She humorously noted, "After doing this drama, I went to a restaurant and felt the cold stares," drawing laughter. A local resident of Hongseong also commented, "You looked so mean on TV," adding to the amusement.
Lee Tae-ran's performance in the drama earned her the Best Actress award. She reflected, "It wasn't easy. It was my first time playing such a character, and the extensive dialogue was challenging. It was tough but enjoyable," adding, "Winning the award made it all worthwhile."
