Dramatic Turn of Events in 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea': Kim Jun-han's Heroic Sacrifice

The latest episode of tvN's weekend drama 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' (written by Oh Han-ki, directed by Im Pil-sung, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Mindmark and Studio329) aired on the 12th, delivering a whirlwind of events. The 10th episode showcased the aftermath of a kidnapping and fire incident at Seyoon Building, leaving viewers on edge as Ki Soo-jong (played by Ha Jung-woo) and Kim Sun (played by Im Soo-jung) face another crisis.

With the help of her nurse friend Ae-soo (played by No Ji-yoo), Kim Sun managed to save Min Hwal-seong (played by Kim Jun-han). Despite unexpected challenges, Ki Soo-jong and Kim Sun demanded Jeon Yi-kyung (played by Jung Soo-jung) release their daughter, Ki Da-rae (played by Park Seo-kyung). However, Jeon Yi-kyung discovered their deceit and erupted in anger.

As Ki Soo-jong and Kim Sun attempted to escape, a fire broke out. Previously, Jeon Yang-ja (played by Kim Geum-soon) had cut a pipe, causing a leak, which Ki Soo-jong temporarily fixed to save repair costs. This decision led to disaster as Seyoon Building was engulfed in flames.

On the rooftop, a tense standoff with Jeon Yi-kyung unfolded. Holding Ki Da-rae hostage, Jeon Yi-kyung lost her composure. Min Hwal-seong's arrival unsettled her. He expressed regret for orchestrating the kidnapping to gain independence from his mother-in-law, Jeon Yang-ja, and pleaded with Jeon Yi-kyung to start anew, emphasizing the importance of protecting their unborn child. Jeon Yi-kyung, moved by his words, released Ki Da-rae but fainted and fell from the rooftop. Min Hwal-seong embraced her as they both plummeted, ultimately sacrificing himself to save his wife.

Responding to Ki Soo-jong's SOS, Yona (played by Shim Eun-kyung) arrived at Seyoon Building and engaged in a fierce fight with Dong-cheol (played by Lee Ban-seok) and his gang. Her menacing demeanor as she killed Dong-cheol was chilling, yet she quickly switched to a childlike demeanor, crying in front of the police, leaving a haunting impression.

Ki Soo-jong and Kim Sun's family were rescued, and Yona was arrested. Several casualties, including Min Hwal-seong, were reported. Ki Soo-jong gazed at the charred remains of Seyoon Building, wishing it was all a nightmare, but reality awaited. The couple couldn't avoid police investigation and decided to keep Jeon Yi-kyung's kidnapping under wraps to avoid suspicion.

Towards the end of the episode, the discovery of real estate agent Jang Hee-joo's (played by Ryu Abel) body, hidden by Ki Soo-jong and Kim Sun, hinted at further complications for the couple. With only two episodes left, viewers are eager to see how the tangled web of their actions will unravel. Additionally, Yona's threatening moves to accelerate the Sejeong-ro redevelopment project promise heightened tension.
