Oh Sang-jin showcases his heartfelt dedication to cooking for his daughter in the upcoming episode of KBS2's variety show 'New Release, Pyeonstorang,' airing on the 13th at 8:30 PM. Following last week's peak viewership of 5.6%, Oh Sang-jin returns to the show, continuing his endless culinary journey as 'Oh Butler' for his wife and daughter. Despite cooking tirelessly from dawn till late night, Oh Sang-jin's joy is evident when he sees his family enjoying the meals he prepares.
In the VCR segment, Oh Sang-jin reveals, “Soo-ah (his 7-year-old daughter) refuses to eat vegetables, so I've tried making all kinds of curry, but nothing beats 'Forearm Curry.'” He dedicates himself to the task, crushing onions with his forearm strength, hence the name 'Forearm Curry.'
While Oh Sang-jin was busy cooking, his daughter Soo-ah approached him playfully, wrapping toy curlers in his hair. Despite the playful distraction, Oh Sang-jin continued cooking with a smile. When Soo-ah peered into the pot and asked, “Is this onion?” the moment of truth arrived. Will Soo-ah take a bite of her dad's 'Forearm Curry'?
Oh Sang-jin's culinary efforts didn't stop there. His wife, Kim So-young, a businesswoman who works long hours even while pregnant, returned home after 10 PM to find a lovingly prepared meal. Touched, she responded, “You've been cooking all day, making six meals.”
Looking at her husband, Kim So-young expressed, “Seeing my husband and daughter together at home after a long day relieves all my fatigue,” sharing her heartfelt sentiments. Oh Sang-jin and Kim So-young welcomed their first daughter in September 2019 and are expecting their second child, due in April.
