In the 71st episode, detectives Kim Jin-woo and Jin Sung-hyun, along with former KCSI Commissioner Yoon Wae-chul and Inspector Kim Jin-soo, reveal their investigation logs. Actor Kim Tae-hoon joins as a guest, temporarily replacing Lee Yi-kyung.
The episode begins with workers discovering part of a body while removing cement during a building leak repair. Detectives arrive at the scene to find a woman's body inside a suitcase, wrapped in multiple layers of plastic and buried in cement, completely isolated from the outside.
The victim was identified as someone who lost contact with her family 16 years ago and was reported missing 13 years ago. She had mentioned moving into her mother's house before disappearing. This long-standing cold case resurfaces with the discovery of the body, prompting detectives to quickly identify a prime suspect and pursue the truth behind the crime. The identity of the murderer who concealed the body in cement will be revealed in the broadcast.
Additionally, the KCSI investigates a case that starts with a fire report from a local barbershop. Upon forcibly entering the smoke-filled premises, they discover the body of a woman in her 60s with signs of strangulation and unexpected items in her mouth, adding to the shock. The perpetrator is believed to have taken the entire CCTV unit from the scene. Ahn Jung-hwan expresses his anger, stating, "They deliberately erased the evidence."
Detectives secure descriptions of the suspects who fled over a wall after the fire through external CCTV footage. The investigation takes an unexpected turn as the suspects appear to be an elderly woman and a young man. Detectives track their movements using nearby CCTV and locate the woman, who remains silent and anxious. The relationship between the woman and the young man, the details of the crime, and the detectives' relentless pursuit can be seen on 'Brave Detectives 4'.
