The much-anticipated 'The Genius Paik 3' has finally premiered, recording a viewership rating of 2.5%.
On the episode aired on the 10th, tvN's variety show 'The Genius Paik's Global Restaurant Challenge' featured Baek Jong-won, Lee Jang-woo, Kwon Yuri, John Park, and Yoon Si-yoon as they opened a Korean BBQ restaurant named 'Hanpan House' on Mercier Street in Lyon, France. Their ambitious goal was to achieve an annual revenue of 1 billion won.
The location they chose is a renowned gourmet street in France, attracting food enthusiasts from all over the country. It is home to 38 of the hottest restaurants, and the extreme rent demands a minimum revenue of 1 billion won to survive.
Baek Jong-won expressed his concerns about the target, stating, "Even in Korea, a daily revenue of 3 million won is considered a huge success." Despite his worries, he remained determined, saying, "I'm not confident, but I'll do my best. It's a challenge for me too," and decided on a menu featuring Samgyeop Hanpan and Dakgalbi Hanpan.
The viewership rating for 'The Genius Paik 3' was 2.5%. Previously known as 'The Genius Paik' in its first two seasons, the show has been rebranded for its third season as 'The Genius Paik's Global Restaurant Challenge.' The highest ratings for season 2, aired two years ago, were 5.7%, while season 1 peaked at 5.8%.
