On the recent episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' aired on the 17th, 'Sing Again 4' Top 7 contestants Lee O-wook, Dorado, Kim Jae-min, Slowly, Seo Do, Gyuri, and Kim Ye-chan made an appearance.
During the show, Gyuri addressed the nickname 'Yang Hee-eun's first daughter,' stating, "I'm here to clarify today. Yang Hee-eun is not my real mother. My biological mother is Park Hyun-sook," she revealed, drawing attention.
Gyuri explained, "In a past audition, I used the nickname 'Yang Hee-eun's first daughter.' I was the baby who sang Yang Hee-eun's song 'To My Daughter.'"
At the age of 11, Gyuri sang 'To My Daughter' with Yang Hee-eun. She added, "There were many daughters like Lee Su-hyun, Jung Eun-ji, Kim Se-jeong, and Lee Young-ji. I was the first daughter, but people thought Yang Hee-eun was my real mom."
When Kang Ho-dong expressed concern, saying, "Your mom must have been upset," Gyuri smiled and replied, "Not at all. My mom liked it."
Gyuri, who appeared in a wheelchair during her first performance on 'Sing Again 4' due to a car accident, shared, "I was hit by a 1-ton truck while preparing and was bedridden for a month and a half. I thought I would regret it if I didn't participate."
Gyuri also shared a heartwarming moment when actor Gong Yoo sent her a supportive message on social media. "I worked on the OST for Netflix's 'Trunk,' which led to a visit to the set where I met him. He said he liked 'Sing Again,' so I thought he might remember me better if I appeared on the show," she said. "After the broadcast, I saw his supportive message and shouted 'Mom!'—not Yang Hee-eun, but my real mom. It was so happy and felt like a dream," she added, expressing her admiration and bringing laughter.
