From January 5th to 11th, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to work out with to stay healthy in the New Year?' Kim Eui-young emerged as the top choice.
Kim Eui-young gained prominence as a trot singer by finishing in the TOP 5 on TV Chosun's entertainment show 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. In May of last year, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1', produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track, 'Do Whatever You Want', is a bright and lively dance trot song that showcases Kim Eui-young's refreshing charm.
Coming in second is Jeon Yoo-jin, who released her new song 'Visit My Dream for Just One Day' on January 12th. This release comes about three months after her single album 'Young Sleep' was released in October last year. The song captures the lingering emotions after a breakup, expressing a heartfelt desire to meet again, even if just in a dream, offering deep empathy and comfort to listeners.
In third place is Kim Da-hyun, who is kicking off her 2026 activities with the release of her third full-length album. She is set to hold a nationwide solo concert tour titled 'Dream' in March, covering Seoul, Busan, and Daegu. Her third album, 'Black Swan', will be released on the 16th and includes nine tracks. The title track, 'Black Swan', is a contemporary dance song combining EDM rhythms with K-pop sensibilities, written and composed by Kim Da-hyun herself.
