Actor Hong Jong-hyun makes a striking return in 'Dear X'.
The TVING original series 'Dear X' continues to captivate audiences, and Hong Jong-hyun's debut in the series adds a thrilling layer to the storyline.
Joining as the new character Moon Do-hyuk, Hong Jong-hyun showcases a dramatic transformation. Departing from his previous romantic roles in 'After Love' and 'The Black Dragon', he adopts a chilling dark persona that caught viewers' attention in episode 8 of 'Dear X'.
Towards the end of the episode, Moon Do-hyuk creates a tense atmosphere. He is revealed as the one threatening Kim Jae-oh (played by Kim Do-hoon) and is set to have a complex relationship with Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung).
Despite being the cause of the incidents, Moon Do-hyuk appears to feel no remorse, resembling a sociopath. His calm demeanor and indifferent voice as he gives orders starkly contrast with the horrific scenes, intensifying the suspense.
Moon Do-hyuk's 180-degree transformation marks the climax of the story. His intense gaze as he examines Baek Ah-jin's photo and his chilling smile heighten the suspense.
Shedding his usual charming and dandy image, Hong Jong-hyun is set to become a pivotal figure in the latter part of the series. 'Dear X' is available every Thursday at 6 PM on TVING.
