On the 24th, an interview with Kang Ha-neul was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, to discuss his latest film, 'The First Ride.' Kang appeared relaxed in casual attire, familiar with the press he often encounters.
'The First Ride' is a comedy that follows a group of friends of 24 years as they embark on their first overseas trip together, leading to unpredictable adventures. Kang Ha-neul plays the role of Tae-jung, a model student who scored perfectly on his college entrance exam.
Much like the friendship journey depicted in the film, the cast is known for their excellent chemistry. Speaking about his co-star, the 'big brother' Kim Young-kwang, Kang said, "Young-kwang is every man's idol from childhood. He's famous for his 'boyfriend material' photos. He's very much a celebrity, and I always wanted to meet and greet him." He added, "We share similar tastes in movies, music, and comedy. Whenever I find something amusing on YouTube, I share it with him."
Kang Ha-neul also mentioned his existing friendship with Kang Young-suk and expressed gratitude towards Han Seon-hwa for her caring nature. Regarding the 'youngest' Cha Eun-woo, he remarked, "I wondered if I could even meet someone like him. He's handsome, has a great physique, and a wonderful personality."
'The First Ride' is set to premiere in theaters nationwide on the 29th.
