Jun Ji-hyun to Star in 'The Hive' at Cannes Film Festival
South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun, 44, has been confirmed to attend the 79th Cannes Film Festival.

On the 9th, it was announced that the film 'The Hive', which has garnered attention for the collaboration between Jun Ji-hyun and director Yeon Sang-ho, has been officially invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival. 'The Hive' is a film about isolated survivors in a building sealed off due to a mysterious infection outbreak, facing off against infected individuals who evolve in unpredictable ways.

In the film, Jun Ji-hyun plays the role of Kwon Se-jung, a biotechnologist and the leader of the survivor group, who uses her cold judgment and strong sense of justice to guide them through extreme situations. She is expected to deliver a new acting transformation by portraying the inner conflicts and weight of choices that emerge in tense moments.

Jun Ji-hyun will continue her momentum with another upcoming project, JTBC's 'Human X Gumiho'. Scheduled to air in the first half of 2027, 'Human X Gumiho' is a fantasy romantic comedy about a mysterious(x) encounter between a seductive mythical creature and a human who attracts such beings. Jun Ji-hyun will play the role of Gu Ja-hong, a 2000-year-old gumiho, alongside actor Ji Chang-wook.

Meanwhile, 'The Hive' is set to hit theaters in May.
