On the 22nd, a press screening for the movie 'No Other Choice' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. The event was attended by director Park Chan-wook, along with stars Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yum Hye-ran.
During the event, Director Park shared, "Even those of us in the film industry are in a potential state of unemployment. We often wonder, 'What will I do after this project?' or 'What if something happens to me and I can't get any projects or investments?' It's a situation that feels very personal."
He further explained, "Unemployment can destroy a family. For men from older generations, it can also feel like a denial of masculinity, leading to feelings of inadequacy. It's a frightening situation in many ways."
'No Other Choice' tells the story of 'Mansu' (played by Lee Byung-hun), a satisfied office worker who suddenly gets laid off. The film follows his personal battle to find new employment. It is set to release on the 24th.
