A shocking real-life story of a 'chaotic married woman' who stalked her ex-boyfriend and falsely accused him of sexual assault has been revealed.
On the November 11th episode of Channel A's 'Secrets of Detectives,' the truth behind an 'eat-and-run scam' in an online community with about 700 members was uncovered. According to victims, the scammer lured people by posting about selling premium beef and crabs at unbeatable prices. The scam involved having victims deposit money into accounts belonging to motels and chicken shops, effectively making them pay for the scammer's lodging and food. Both the victims who transferred money and the business owners whose accounts were misused suffered significant losses. Shockingly, the scammer was caught by the police but managed to commit another scam less than two hours after being released from the station.
The Owl Detective Team posed as buyers to approach the scammer. They discovered that the account number provided by the scammer belonged to a nearby pork hock restaurant and caught the scammer in the act. Surprisingly, the scammer was a 29-year-old man born in 1996. He confessed, "I left home due to a bad relationship with my grandparents and needed money to live outside." He also admitted to having a history of second-hand trading scams and that the eat-and-run scam had been ongoing for nearly a year since August of the previous year.
The scammer, who caused damages amounting to 20 million won, bowed his head and said, "I will work hard to repay it." To prevent recurrence, the Owl Detective Team shut down his community and sent him back to his grandparents' home to ensure he cooperates with the police investigation. They added, "The case has been reported to the police, and an investigator will be assigned." Thus, the year-long 'eat-and-run scam' came to an end.
In the 'Case Notebook' segment, featuring 'New Water Bomb Goddess' Park Ji-won of fromis_9 as a 'one-day detective,' a woman requested a 'pre-cohabitation investigation' on her boyfriend. She was about to move in with him when his ex-girlfriend suddenly appeared, claiming, "(The boyfriend) is in a FWB (friends with benefits) relationship with the café owner where he works and forced me to have an abortion." The detective team found that the boyfriend was indeed living with the café owner, who was his college sweetheart. However, the boyfriend insisted, "I broke up with my ex because she cheated, and the café owner is just a business partner and friend."
Soon after the woman and her boyfriend started living together, the ex-girlfriend began stalking them. She caused disturbances at their home and left negative reviews on the delivery app for the café where the boyfriend worked. Shockingly, the ex-girlfriend was actually married, and the boyfriend had received a lawsuit from her husband for adultery. The boyfriend was even falsely accused of sexual assault when he confronted her.
Defconn expressed disbelief, saying, "How does she plan to handle the aftermath? She's insane," while Park Ji-won remarked, "It's like she's thinking, 'My life is ruined anyway, so why not?'" Kim Poong shuddered, "It's terrifying that people like that actually exist." Ultimately, the boyfriend was cleared of charges thanks to testimonies from acquaintances who confirmed he didn't know she was married, and CCTV footage from the ex-girlfriend's husband's home.
