Lee Jong-suk Ventures Out with Mun Ka-young's Support in 'Law and The City' Finale


Lee Jong-suk has left his company to start his own business, with the support of his partner, Mun Ka-young.

In the final episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Law and The City,' which aired on the 10th, viewers witnessed the new beginnings of the 'Eobeonjeos' group of five: Ahn Joo-hyung (played by Lee Jong-suk), Kang Hee-ji (played by Mun Ka-young), Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yoo-seok), Bae Moon-jung (played by Ryu Hye-young), and Ha Sang-gi (played by Lim Sung-jae), as they pursued their passions, leaving a lasting impression.

The finale achieved its highest ratings yet, with an average of 7.5% in the Seoul metropolitan area and a peak of 8.6%, while nationwide ratings averaged 7.7% with a peak of 8.9%. It also ranked first in its time slot across cable and general programming channels among tvN's target demographic of viewers aged 20-49.

Ahn Joo-hyung, a lawyer with nine years of experience, decided to leave his firm and open his own law office after gaining insight from a real estate lawsuit involving Park Man-soo (played by Kim Jong-goo). He sought out the family of a workplace bullying victim to offer a heartfelt apology and took on meaningful cases, leading a life different from before.

Kang Hee-ji became a public defender to give a voice to those who couldn't speak for themselves. Despite facing many who refused to admit their wrongdoings, she remained dedicated to her work, showcasing her growth as a lawyer.

Jo Chang-won also left his job to pursue his dream of becoming a prosecutor, realizing justice in his own way. Bae Moon-jung, who found a replacement for the firm’s managing partner Na Kyung-min (played by Park Hyung-soo) during his paternity leave, balanced work and parenting with the support of her husband, Kim Ji-seok (played by Yoon Kyun-sang). Ha Sang-gi, who had left his job to attend graduate school, reunited with Kim Hyung-min (played by Yum Hye-ran) at law school, fulfilling his dream of becoming a lawyer and giving back to young people in similar situations.

Though they left Hyungmin Building to pursue their own paths, the friendship among the associate lawyers continued. They still gathered to share meals and catch up on each other's lives.
