According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' attracted 427,357 viewers from August 25 to 27, with a cumulative audience of 627,885, maintaining its box office lead. The film has consistently held the number one position since its release, drawing audiences to theaters as a must-see summer blockbuster.
The enthusiastic response to 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' extends beyond South Korea to international markets. Released simultaneously in Taiwan on August 23 at 7 PM, the film surpassed the opening scores of 'Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds' and 'The Soul'. It achieved the highest opening day revenue for a Korean film in Taiwan since 2021, breaking the previous record held by 'The Soul'.
The film's success in both South Korea and Taiwan is attributed to the strong support and enthusiasm from audiences. Viewers have praised the exhilarating action and the breathtaking scale of the film, which offers a refreshing escape from the summer heat. The stellar cast, including Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, and Nana, also shines with their chemistry. 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' is a fantasy action film about Kim Dok-ja, the sole reader of a long-running novel, who finds himself in a world where the novel's events become reality. The film continues to hold the number one spot at the box office for five consecutive days and is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
