On the 17th, an interview with Lee Min-ho took place at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding his new film 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'. Lee Min-ho exuded a unique aura in a simple white t-shirt and jeans, adding a touch of style with a black outerwear to brace the chilly indoors.
'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' is a fantasy action film that unfolds the story of a world from a novel becoming reality on the day the novel, which had been serialized for over 10 years, concludes. Lee Min-ho plays the role of Yoo Joong-hyuk, the protagonist of the novel within the film.
This film marks Lee Min-ho's return to the movie industry after a decade. The actor is understandably feeling the pressure, especially since his previous project, the 50 billion won blockbuster 'Ask the Stars', did not perform well. 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' is also a major production with a budget of 30 billion won.
Lee Min-ho commented, "'Ask the Stars' was the project with the worst performance in my 19-year career. It involved many attempts and challenges, and the process was lengthy."
He added, "I hope 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' does well. There are many fans of the original webtoon, which adds to the pressure and concerns. However, convincing them is part of an actor's job. I am focusing on the process."
Meanwhile, 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' is set to release on the 23rd in South Korea and Taiwan. It will also premiere on the 30th in Indonesia, and on the 31st in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. The film will be released on August 1st in the United States, Canada, and Vietnam, on August 5th in Cambodia, and on August 6th in the Philippines.
