Super Junior's Kyuhyun has spoken out about the rumors surrounding Choi Siwon's potential entry into politics.
On the October 3rd episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problem Child in House,' Super Junior members Shindong and Kyuhyun appeared as guests.
During the show, Shindong and Kyuhyun revealed that they are preparing for a special comeback to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary. When Hong Jin-kyung asked, "Is Choi Siwon joining the album activities? I thought he would go into politics because he always looks so polished and shakes hands," Shindong replied that Siwon is participating in the album but added, "We don't know about his political ambitions yet."
Shindong jokingly added, "When we go to schedules, he sometimes rides in a sedan alone," and Kyuhyun chimed in, "When he wears a suit, it looks like he has a badge on. During contract renewal season, he said he would bring in hundreds of billions in funding."
Shindong continued, "He said he would secure a 200 billion investment," to which Kyuhyun responded, "Wasn't it 500 billion? Later, when I asked about it, he just said, 'It fell through.'"
The duo also discussed the infamous '7-year jinx' in the idol industry. Kyuhyun shared, "We lived year by year," while Shindong added, "We didn't start as an official group. We were 'Super Junior 05,' a mix of entertainers, singers, and actors. I only thought about doing variety shows and danced."
They credited their long-lasting career to their fans' love. Shindong said, "Our members are smart. They know that if we split, our fans would too." Kyuhyun expressed gratitude, saying, "We've been around for a long time, and our fans have loved us for a long time. We know this."
