Actress Ko So-young has admitted to being an 'overprotective mom.'
On the June 30th episode of MBN's 'Oh Eun-young Stay,' Ko So-young expressed her empathy for a story about a 40-year-old who still has a curfew.
During the episode, Ko So-young commented on the story of someone feeling overly controlled by their mother, saying, "I can somewhat understand the mother's perspective."
Ko So-young further revealed, "I had the thought of 'I must protect my child,' so I stopped all their extracurricular activities. I thought, 'What's more important than studying? Just stay home,' but I still feel anxious." She added, "When my son said he was going to a PC room with friends, I waited in the car outside. I did that because I never knew when he might call me."
Ko So-young married actor Jang Dong-gun in May 2010, and they welcomed their son in October of the same year. In February 2014, they had their second child, a daughter.
The couple resides in The Penthouse in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. The residence has a floor area of 407.71 square meters and has been the most expensive condominium in the country for four consecutive years, with an official price of 16.4 billion KRW.
In 2022, it was revealed on a broadcast that Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young own buildings in Songjeong-dong, Seongdong-gu, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, and Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, with an estimated total value exceeding 40 billion KRW.
