Nana Expresses Her Longing for Action Roles in 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'

Nana, known for her role in 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint,' revealed her desire to take on action roles.

On the 17th, a production briefing for the film 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' (hereafter referred to as 'ORV') was held at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University Entrance in Jayang-dong, Seoul. The event was attended by director Kim Byung-woo and actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, and Nana.

'ORV' is a fantasy action film based on the novel of the same name, which depicts the events that unfold when the world within a novel, serialized for over ten years, becomes reality on the day the novel concludes. The original novel is titled 'Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World.'

Nana plays the role of Jung Hee-won, one of the characters from the novel. She shared, “Before receiving the script, I was briefed by my company about the project, the director, the production company, and the character. I had great trust in Director Kim's work. I watched 'Along with the Gods' by Realize Pictures' CEO Won Dong-yeon, and I felt confident that they could handle a project of this scale. With that trust as a foundation, I read the script.” She continued, “I wasn't familiar with the original work before reading the script. Seeing it without prior knowledge was refreshing. I thought, 'Is it possible to produce such a film in Korea?' and I was curious about how it would be to shoot with a blue screen.” She also confessed, “I've always had a thirst for action roles in my acting career. When it comes to fantasy, there's a lot that audiences are willing to accept, so I thought it was worth the challenge.”

'ORV' is set to premiere on July 23rd.
