Interview with Jeong Ga-eun as Lee Seon in the movie ‘A Life of Nothing Special’
Actress Jeong Ga-eun said she likes the '8-head Song Hye-kyo' modifier and wants to be reborn as Jenny, a member of the girl group Blackpink.
On the afternoon of the 5th, Jeong Ga-eun told various stories about the movie ‘An Unimportant Life’ (directed by Seo Dong-heon) at the entrance of Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
'An Unimportant Life' is a time-slip fantasy melodrama about Lee Seon, who goes to the past right before he dies, encounters his old lovers and tries to find love once again.
Jeong Ga-eun plays the main character Lee Seon, who tries to disguise an extreme choice in the play. Lee Seon is a character who goes on a time travel to look back on his past before he dies.
On this day, Jeong Ga-eun confessed about the difficulties she faced while filming ‘A Life of No Matter’. He said, "Actually, I'm in my mid-40s, but Lee Seon plays the role of someone in his 20s. How can I look like someone in their 20s? Of course, I have to look like someone in their 20s through acting, but the process of making them look like someone in their 20s is important because people shouldn't feel a bit different when they see the appearance. “It was difficult,” he said.
He added, "I saw a lot of idols in their 20s. Their hair was really long. At the time, I had a short bob, but I tried plaiting my hair long. I also had a short bob once, but I also tried plaiting it long."
Jeong Ga-eun filmed a scene in which she appears wearing a bikini in the play. Regarding this, Jeong Ga-eun said, "I lost a lot of weight. Normally, I gain 4 to 5 kg in the winter. I gain it in the winter and then lose it again in the summer, but the 4 to 5 kg comes and goes. I gained 8 kg last winter. 'I'm crazy. I shouldn't be like this. “I came across this work while I was thinking, ‘I can do it,’ and ‘I need to get rid of it,’” he said.
Also, "There was a bikini scene and he asked me if I was okay. I gained weight, but I said I would lose it completely. I promised that I could wear a bikini. So I worked harder. I lost 6kg before starting the project, but I started going on a diet a month or two ago. “I lost a total of 7 to 8 kg (starting),” he explained.
Jeong Ga-eun even posted a scene she filmed wearing a bikini on social media. He laughed, saying, "The weather wasn't good on the day I filmed the bikini scene. It was too windy. I couldn't swing around in a bikini. I liked my body at that time."
How did Jeong Ga-eun lose weight? He said, "I didn't strictly manage my diet, but I focused on protein. Even if I wanted to eat something, I ate it, but reduced the amount. If I don't eat what I want, I get very stressed. I eat everything I want, such as tteokbokki and pizza, but the amount and protein are important. “I adjusted it,” he said.
Not only that, "I did Pilates three times a week, went swimming twice a week, and stopped snacking at night. I continued to do so consistently. It was a time when I had to gain weight again, but I had lost the weight through a hard and thorough diet this time, so I didn't want to gain it again. I increased my weight in the winter." “I repeatedly lost weight in the summer, but I plan to maintain (my current weight) from now on,” he said.
Jeong Ga-eun is also called ‘8th-class Song Hye-kyo.’ He joked, “I’m sorry, but I’m fine.” She said, "I want to live as Kim Hee-sun. I wonder what the life of such a pretty person would be like. If I am reborn, I want to be born again as Jeon Ji-hyun, Kim Hee-sun, and Blackpink Jennie. Oh, I want to be born as Blackpink Jennie once."
Meanwhile, 'An Unimportant Life' will be released on the 12th.
