According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network on the 1st, 'The First Slam Dunk' (directed by Takehiko Inoue) took first place in the box office, mobilizing 36,049 viewers on the 31st. 'The First Slam Dunk' has a cumulative audience of 1,994,813, and is certain to exceed 2 million viewers in one day.

'The First Slam Dunk' is a film based on the cartoon 'Slam Dunk' that depicts the dreams, passion, and never-ending challenges of the five members of the Buksan High School basketball team who dream of winning the national championship. An attempt was made to expand the story in that the main character is Song Tae-seop, not Kang Baek-ho. After its domestic release on the 4th, it reached the top of the box office in 24 days and stood out by maintaining first place for 5 consecutive days. Starting with word of mouth from male audiences in their 30s and 40s, people of all generations are coming to theaters to see ‘The First Slam Dunk’.

It was followed by ‘Negotiation’, which attracted 24,051 viewers. A total of 1,489,102 people are accumulated. Third place was 'Avatar: Path of Water' (director James Cameron, 'Avatar 2'), which surpassed 10 million viewers and attracted 22,893 people.

'Negotiation' depicts the negotiation operation between a diplomat and a local National Intelligence Service agent who headed to Afghanistan to rescue Koreans who were taken hostage by the Taliban in the worst kidnapping incident.

‘Ghost’ (directed by Lee Hae-young) is ranked 5th. 10,952 viewers saw it.
