On the afternoon of the 15th, a press preview of the movie 'Puppy' (directed by Kim Joo-hwan) was held at Yongsan CGV in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and lead actors Yoo Yeon-seok, Cha Tae-hyun, and director Kim Joo-hwan attended.
On this day, Yoo Yeon-seok opened up and said, “I swear this is the first time I’ve seen a work that made me cry like this.”
He continued, "It's been a while since I watched a movie in the theater with the audience, but I don't know. Why do the dogs and each cut that are shown move my heart so much?" He continued, "It was a film I filmed, but I couldn't really calm down due to my own inclination. Please. “Thank you for coming and watching the movie,” he said.
Yoo Yeon-seok then shed tears while mentioning a scene from the movie. In the end, he paused for a moment during the Q&A, gathered his emotions, and continued speaking. He added, "When I saw the empty space where Rooney had been, and touched the traces and fur, and watched the scene full of emotion, I instantly remembered the children I had sent in the past and felt empathized with them."
‘Puppy’ tells the story of cousins Minsu (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) and Jin-guk (played by Cha Tae-hyun) who unexpectedly meet each other while on a journey to find the perfect owner for their beloved dog Rooney.
Released on March 1st.
