On the 26th, director Kim Seong-sik was interviewed by Ten Asia about the movie 'Dr. Cheon's Exorcism Lab: Secrets of the Snow Scenery' (director Kim Seong-sik, hereinafter referred to as 'Dr. Cheon') at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
'Dr. Cheon's Exorcism Lab: Secrets of the Snowy Scene' is a film that begins when Dr. Cheon (Kang Dong-won), a fake exorcist who does not believe in ghosts but has ghost-like insight, is commissioned to handle a powerful case he has never experienced before. Director Kim Seong-sik made his directorial debut with ‘Dr. Cheon’.
On this day, Director Kim said about Park So-yi's role as Yu-min, "In the original script, Yoo-kyung's younger brother Yu-min was a boy. But the name Yu-min was the same as the Park So-yi character in the movie I did, 'Deliver Us from Evil.' So, 'This is Park So-yi.' “I thought, ‘I should do it,’ so I changed the character to a woman,” he said, drawing attention.
Regarding Park So-yi's possessed acting, Director Kim said, "I gave only one direction." “In the movie, there is a scene where Yoo-min is possessed and asks, ‘Who are you?’ In this scene, I gave one direction, ‘Think of yourself as an adult.’ Then, ‘Should I lower my voice a little?’, ‘I am an adult.’ He said, 'How does this feel?' and acted on his own. On set, we worked equally as actors and directors. In fact, in the movie, he was my senior. I learned a lot. He is an actor whose future I have high expectations for. Ah, Soyi shouldn’t forget me. Haha.”
‘Dr. Chun’ will be released on September 27th.
