BOYNEXTDOOR's Sungho to Release Heartfelt Remake of 'One more time, One more chance' for '5 Centimeters per Second' Live-Action Debut
Originally by Yamazaki Masayoshi, 'One more time, One more chance' is a beloved track from the anime '5 Centimeters per Second'. The remake, set to be released 19 years after the original, will blend the song's poignant and lyrical essence with Sungho's warm vocals, promising to deliver a new wave of emotion.
'5 Centimeters per Second' tells the story of Takaki and Akari, who, while cherishing childhood memories, move forward at different paces, exploring themes of love and longing. This is the only live-action film by director Makoto Shinkai, known for 'Your Name' and 'Suzume', and it has secured awards in four categories at the Japan Academy Awards. In addition to Sungho, renowned J-POP artist Kenshi Yonezu has contributed to the soundtrack, heightening anticipation.
Sungho's remake single will be available on music streaming platforms on the 25th at 6 PM, coinciding with the release of the live-action '5 Centimeters per Second'.
