Actress Lee Ha-nui revealed that she felt like she was abandoning her duties while participating in the movie ‘Killing Romance.’

Lee Ha-nui told various stories about the movie ‘Killing Romance’ (directed by Lee Won-seok) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 14th.

'Killing Romance' is about top star Yeorae (played by Lee Ha-nui), who suddenly announces her retirement after falling in love with island tycoon Jonathan (played by Lee Seon-gyun), and meets Beom-woo (played by Gong Myeong), a student from the 3rd fan club, and plots an extraordinary comeback plan. It's a story.

In the play, Lee Ha-nui plays the role of Tathagata. Tathagata is a retired top star who dreams of a brilliant screen comeback. She meets Jonathan Na by chance, falls in love with him, and suddenly retires as soon as he gets married.

On this day, Lee Ha-nui said, "Every scene in 'Killing Romance' was a real hit. The tangerine hitting scene before singing the song 'Please' was originally an orange hitting. It was only for a moment, but it may make you uncomfortable and you may be concerned about that, but it was a tangerine hit." “That sequence of singing ‘please’ after hitting was difficult,” he began.

He said, "There is a scene in the jjimjilbang scene where I go from talking to rapping. We traveled to rural areas a lot to film. There were places built like there were sets. We worked like a traveling theater company, such as Daejeon 2nd and Gwangju 3rd. “I did it. Rather than commuting to work, I think the work was more intimate, like gypsies putting on a play at a theater company.”

In 'Killing Romance', there is a scene where Jonathan says to the Tathagata, "You are most perfect when you weigh 49 kg." Regarding this, Lee Ha-nui said, "I don't think I have to diet just because I'm working on a project. Instead, I think I have to appear on screen in good condition. However, I was constantly worried because my weight was specified in the movie. I didn't go to that height. “I felt like I was dereliction of duty,” he explained.

He also said, "In the play, the Tathagata is a character who is restricted by someone, so I thought that the Tathagata herself could not eat food comfortably. I thought that the character was not in a situation where she could eat food comfortably, so I thought I should go on a diet." .

Lee Ha-nui said, "My iron rule is to exercise constantly during breaks. When I was doing 'Killing Romance,' I exercised every day, even if I was alone. The more uneven the character, the more I have to maintain a consistent tone. So, it's good to have time to exercise even if I'm alone. An actor's body is an instrument. He has to control his tone amazingly to maintain good condition and balance. Although Tathagata was not a character that used his body, he exercised every day. Even when filming the drama 'Won the Woman', filming was grueling. "I worked out every day at the time. I exercise every day as long as I have time. I can't do that now because of my physical strength. I have to exercise to use my strength," he said.

According to director Lee Won-seok, Lee Ha-nui has her own routine before filming. Lee Ha-nui said, “There are a lot of things that come up for an actor whose job is to digest and express extreme emotions. For me, if I can’t organize my tone, my daily life falls apart. So, I have to perfectly control the tone of the person I am, so that when I shoot a bazooka, I can use the bazooka. “When shooting a long gun, you can use a long rifle, when shooting a short gun, you can use a short gun, and when using a sword, you can use a sword.”

Lee Ha-nui said, “As I am an emotional worker, I have to really organize my tone for those emotions so that they can be filtered and come out as acting. Otherwise, it would be difficult to come in and out. So I think I need to organize my tone a little to be able to control it. I think everyone has their own way of doing it. "Some actors think that when they're tired, they drink alcohol to relieve it. I'm like this. I think they find their own way."

Meanwhile, 'Killing Romance', starring Lee Ha-nui, was released on this day.
