Lee Byung-hun and Park Seo-joon's combination expectation 'Concrete Utopia', pre-sale in 152 countries amid expectations


Actors Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and Park Bo-young's movie 'Concrete Utopia' is pre-sold in 152 countries around the world ahead of its release in August, ready to meet global audiences.

'Concrete Utopia' is a disaster drama depicting the story of survivors gathering in the only remaining imperial palace apartment in Seoul, which was devastated by a major earthquake.

It is a new work of Climax Studio, a production company that has shown works that have built original worldviews such as 'Hell' and 'DP', and is expected to be a new transformation of Byung-Hun Lee, Seo-Jun Park, and Bo-Young Park.

This movie achieved the feat of pre-selling 'Concrete Utopia' in 152 countries around the world. This includes not only European countries such as France and Italy, but also Asia including Japan and India, and South America such as Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, proving the response of theaters around the world pouring in even before the release.

The pre-sale feat of 'Concrete Utopia' includes top distributors in each region who have consistently shown high interest in Korean films, further raising expectations for the film. The Jokers Films, the French distributor of 'Parasite' and 'Hunt', gave high praise, saying, "Director Uhm Tae-hwa presented a spectacular disaster movie that makes us think about human solidarity. It is visually surprising and moving, and actor Lee Byung-hun's performance is amazing." Italian distributor Blue Swan Entertainment, which distributed 'Hansan: Rise of the Dragon' and 'Veteran', said, "'Concrete Utopia' is the most outstanding Korean film of this year. It is an honor to introduce this film to Italy." said.

Bf Distribution, the South American distributor of 'Train to Busan', 'Peninsula', and 'Criminal City 2', said, "'Concrete Utopia' is an intense film in which spectacular disasters and human drama coexist. I ask the question, ‘What should I do?’ I was excited and moved to have such a special cinematic experience.”

'Concrete Utopia', a new adaptation based on the second part 'Pleasant Neighbor' of the popular webtoon 'Pleasant Bullying' by Kim Soong-nyung, which has been well received since its serialization in 2014, will be released in August.
