The Korean film 'The Fifth Thoracic Vertebra', which was invited to the Critics' Week of the Berlin International Film Festival, released a launching trailer.

The movie 'The Fifth Thoracic Vertebra' is a strange and beautiful film about the journey of a fungus flower that blooms on the mattress of a lover's bed, coveting the human spine and transforming into a living being.

It was unveiled for the first time at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival last year and won three awards, drawing attention. Since then, it has been praised by leading film festivals at home and abroad, including the Best Feature Award at the 48th Seoul Independent Film Festival and a special mention from the jury at the Canadian Fantasia International Film Festival.

As the second Korean film ever to be invited to the Berlin International Film Festival Critics Week, the selection committee members praised it, saying, “The unique sensibility, heart-wrenching sound, and sensuous design will fascinate not only critics but also the public.” .

'The Fifth Thoracic Vertebra' is the first feature film debut of director Park Se-young, a visualist who collaborated with world-renowned luxury fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, and Burberry and was active in art and video. He showed a unique world view through short films such as 'Cashback' (2016) and 'Hocance' (2021). Then, in 2021, the Louis Vuitton X BTS fashion film (LVMenFW21), which was conducted with director Jeon Go-woon, received great love around the world.
