IU and Lee Yeon Showcase Their Close Friendship in Joint Photoshoot

Singer and actress IU (32) has showcased her close friendship with Lee Yeon, who is two years her junior, through a joint photoshoot.

On the October 2nd broadcast of MBC's variety show 'The Manager' (Episode 396), a preview was aired featuring Lee Yeon, who is currently playing the role of Do Secretary in the weekend drama '21st Century Grand Lady'.

In the preview, Lee Yeon was seen going hiking early in the morning, catching the audience's attention. His manager commented, "He has probably hiked almost every mountain in Seoul," and after descending, Lee Yeon enjoyed a meal at a local diner.

The preview also showed Lee Yeon meeting actor Lee Jong-won, who congratulated him on the success of '21st Century Grand Lady', saying, "Your drama's ratings are doing well." Lee Yeon responded warmly, "You're even more successful, brother." Lee Jong-won humorously added, "There's a rumor that my wardrobe is almost like your wardrobe."

The highlight of the preview was the announcement of IU's appearance, raising anticipation. The scene revealed the photoshoot location where the two were working together. Lee Yeon expressed, "I've become very close with senior Ji-eun," and jokingly added, "I want to sleep over at her house." IU responded, "We have pajamas just for you at our house," showcasing their unique bond. Lee Yeon chimed in, "I even have my own body lotion there."
