Ahn Hyo-seop's Character Faces a Turning Point in 'Sold Out Again' as Mysterious Calls Unravel

Ahn Hyo-seop's character, Matthew Lee, discovers the identity behind the mysterious calls that have been keeping him up at night in the latest episode of SBS's drama 'Sold Out Again'.

In the third episode, aired on the 29th, Matthew Lee learns that the caller is none other than Dam Ye-jin, played by Chae Won-bin, marking a new turning point in their relationship. The episode recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 2.8%, a drop from the 3.3% ratings of episodes 1 and 2, according to Nielsen Korea.

Initially dismissing the calls as a mere prank, Matthew Lee continues with his daily routine, helping Song Hak-daek (Go Doo-shim) and Dam Ye-jin with their errands. He also turns down offers from Kang Moo-won (Yoon Byung-hee) to restart his research work and from Seo Eric (Kim Bum) for a supply contract renewal.

A surprising incident occurs when Dam Ye-jin discovers Matthew Lee's real identity as the CEO of Gojeonok Bio and a farm owner, after he files a complaint about a faulty half-body bath machine purchased by Song Hak-daek. Realizing her past mistakes, Dam Ye-jin rushes to Matthew Lee's house.

Matthew Lee dismisses Dam Ye-jin's proposal by throwing it in the trash, only to find her mingling with the villagers at the mushroom farm. Their ongoing tension leads to an accident where Dam Ye-jin injures her arm.

After taking her to the hospital, Matthew Lee is struck by Dam Ye-jin's dedication to her work, even with her arm in a cast. Her professionalism during a live home shopping broadcast changes his perception of her.

Meanwhile, Dam Ye-jin struggles with workplace challenges and family conflicts, exacerbating her insomnia. In a moment of vulnerability, she dials her late mother's phone number, leading to another misdial to Matthew Lee.

Initially intending to hang up, Matthew Lee is taken aback by the familiar name "Ye-jin" and the emotional plea, "Mom, I miss you." Unable to shake off the impact of her words, he decides to visit Dam Ye-jin in Seoul, using the address from a contract.

The episode concludes with Matthew Lee saving a sleepwalking Dam Ye-jin from a potential accident, leaving viewers curious about the future impact of these misdirected calls on their lives.
