'I Am SOLO': Emotional Turmoil as Young-sook Realizes Her Feelings for Young-chul

On the latest episode of ENA and SBS Plus's reality show 'I Am SOLO,' aired on the 29th, the romantic entanglements of the 31st season contestants reached new heights of emotional intensity.

Young-sook, who went on a date with Kwang-soo, found herself in an awkward atmosphere from the start. Kwang-soo, sensing that Young-sook's heart was elsewhere, offered her words of encouragement. However, Young-sook unexpectedly broke down in tears on the way back to the dorm. The reason? Kwang-soo's comment that she seemed happiest when laughing with Young-chul. This revelation led Young-sook to realize her true feelings, leaving not only Kwang-soo but also the show's hosts, Defconn, Lee Yi-kyung, and Song Hae-na, taken aback.

Back at the dorm, Kwang-soo retreated to his room to shed tears alone. Meanwhile, Young-sook immediately sought out Young-chul, telling him about Kwang-soo's observation and admitting her delayed realization of her feelings. Young-chul, however, remained guarded, asking her to prove her feelings through actions rather than words.

After their conversation, Young-sook returned to the common area and sat next to Young-chul. However, she was distracted by a conversation between Kyung-soo and Soon-ja nearby. When Young-chul stepped away, Young-sook seized the opportunity to pull Kyung-soo aside for a chat. This left Soon-ja feeling uncomfortable, as she expressed in an interview with the production team, saying, "I felt like Young-sook just swooped in while I was having a good conversation."

During her one-on-one with Kyung-soo, Young-sook inquired about his thoughts on her. Kyung-soo admitted he was considering both Soon-ja and Young-sook, to which Young-sook responded that she was also interested in two people, Young-chul and Kyung-soo. Kyung-soo then promised to use his 'super date' privilege on Young-sook if he won it, further complicating her emotions.

Later, Young-sook approached Young-chul, who seemed distant, and asked to talk. Young-chul candidly expressed his disappointment, saying, "It seems important that you're more drawn to someone (Kyung-soo) who hasn't shown you much." Young-sook questioned him about his own preferences between her and Young-ja, to which Young-chul replied, "I don't want to answer," but added that he values natural looks and personality.

Young-sook concluded the conversation by acknowledging, "That's exactly Young-ja," and the discussion ended on a tense note. In an interview with the production team, Young-sook confessed, "Young-chul's tone felt harsh, and I realized it might be difficult to handle. So, the only person left for me is Kyung-soo." She then informed Soon-ja of her decision to pursue Kyung-soo, prompting Soon-ja to declare that she could no longer confide in Young-sook, marking a clear division between them.
