Actor Kim Sung-soo Opens Up About Late Father on 'Shinlang Class 2'

Actor Kim Sung-soo (52) shared a heartfelt story about his late father.

In the 7th episode of Channel A's 'Shinlang Class 2', airing at 10 PM on the 30th, the 'Sung-so Couple' Kim Sung-soo and Park So-yoon meet near Kim's home for the first time. They spend an unforgettable day walking along a cherry blossom path.

The date was initiated by Park So-yoon's suggestion, "I want to see cherry blossoms." However, Kim Sung-soo appeared somewhat subdued rather than excited before seeing the blossoms, sparking curiosity. He began by saying, "My father loved cherry blossoms when he was alive," and recalled, "When he was suddenly diagnosed with an illness and became unable to move, the last thing we saw together from the car was the cherry blossoms, which is my last memory with him." He continued, "I couldn't look at cherry blossoms for three years after my father passed away," expressing his deep longing for his father, "When I think of cherry blossoms, I still think of my father, leaving me with a sad memory."

However, Kim Sung-soo soon gathered courage, saying, "What fault do the cherry blossoms have? It's my memory that's the problem," and added, "I wonder if walking the cherry blossom path with So-yoon will make them feel as beautiful as they originally were." The two then enter the cherry blossom path filled with memories of Kim and his father, with Park So-yoon cautiously observing Kim's mood as they continue their walk. As if to comfort them, a magical scene of falling flower petals unfolds, drawing admiration. Kim Sung-soo's first cherry blossom outing in four years, "It was special to be with So-yoon, I wouldn't have seen it alone," captures attention.

Meanwhile, in the studio, Kim Sung-soo surprised the 'Studio Mentor Squad' Lee Seung-chul, Tak Jae-hoon, and Song Hae-na by revealing, "That path is actually my mother's walking route, and at that time, I was on the same path at the same time as my mother."
