Seo Ji-hye Shines as a 'Detail Master' in Wavve's Original Series 'Reverse'
In episodes 3 and 4 of the Wavve original series 'Reverse,' released on the 24th, Seo Ji-hye portrayed the psychological turmoil of her character, Ham Myo-jin, with explosive acting skills when faced with shocking truths.
Ham Myo-jin, while reminiscing in an atelier filled with memories of Choi Hee-soo (played by Kim Jae-kyung), recalls a forgotten piece of memory and falls into confusion. She discovers that she had come between the original lovers, Ryu Jun-ho (played by Go Soo) and Choi Hee-soo.
Confronting Ryu Jun-ho, who tries to avoid talking about Choi Hee-soo, Ham Myo-jin tearfully asks, “Was the story you promised to tell me after recovering your health that Hee-soo, abandoned by trash like you and me, died in an accident?” Seo Ji-hye delicately expressed Ham Myo-jin's confusion with a subtly trembling expression, while also portraying her emotional collapse, raising the tension of the drama to its peak.
Meanwhile, Ham Myo-jin, in an attempt to regain her memories, pursued Lee Jong-soo (played by Yoo Hyun-soo), the driver of the Mono Group chairman she had been tracking in the past. With the help of private detective Lee Sang-ho (played by Im Won-hee) who distracted attention, Ham Myo-jin successfully cloned Lee Jong-soo's phone and relentlessly chased him, showcasing her tenacity and heightening the tension.
However, after a car chase, Lee Jong-soo, involved in a traffic accident, leaves behind the words, “Isn't it enough that you've killed two people? You can stop your revenge now,” before losing consciousness, causing Ham Myo-jin to collapse in despair. Seo Ji-hye captured the confusion and fear surrounding her identity with sharp eyes, completing a thrilling scene.
Later, while checking her phone, Ham Myo-jin discovers a suspicious exchange of information regarding Choi Hee-soo with Wang Ki-chul (played by Yoon Je-moon), leading her to become pale. Despite Wang Ki-chul's words, “There's no need to be curious,” she demands a meeting, determined to uncover the truth behind the explosion incident. Seo Ji-hye's firm and strong gaze added credibility to Ham Myo-jin's resolve to pursue the truth, even amidst the anxiety that she might have committed evil deeds in the past.
Finally confronting Wang Ki-chul, Ham Myo-jin faces her veiled past and falls into chaos. She learns that Wang Ki-chul was the suspect in the greenhouse fire accident that took her parents' lives during her middle school years, and that she had attempted to kill him after his release from prison two years ago, driven by revenge. Wang Ki-chul's remark, “Your revenge against me turned you into a demon,” leaves Ham Myo-jin glaring at him with suppressed anger. Seo Ji-hye displayed overwhelming charisma, vertically elevating the drama's tension.
Seo Ji-hye's irreplaceable presence can be witnessed every Friday at 11 AM through Wavve's original series 'Reverse'.
