Ong Seong-wu Joins Cast of tvN's New Drama 'Chilling Romance'
'Chilling Romance' is an occult romance drama that follows the story of a chaebol heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them. The series is a remake of the popular 2011 film of the same name.
In the drama, Ong Seong-wu takes on the role of Kang Min-hwan, the CEO of CL Raymond Hotel, a subsidiary of the CL Group. Min-hwan is portrayed as the heir to the hotel and resort conglomerate CL, possessing a sharp intellect, sexy appearance, eloquent speech, and a rational and well-mannered personality. Notably, Min-hwan is an original character created for the drama, not present in the original film. He showcases a dual charm, oscillating between a cold businessman and a tender figure towards Cheon Yeol-ri, played by Park Eun-bin, enhancing the drama's engagement.
Ong Seong-wu has built a solid filmography across films, dramas, and theater, consistently demonstrating stable acting skills and solidifying his position as an actor. This year, he has been particularly active, engaging with the public in various ways and showcasing his unique presence.
In March, Ong Seong-wu delivered a powerful action performance in the Netflix series 'Monthly Boyfriend'. He recently concluded a special fan meeting 'ONG LAND' in Wuhan, China. Additionally, he announced his participation in the reality show 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base', marking the reunion of the group Wanna One after seven years, hinting at a busy schedule ahead.
Meanwhile, 'Chilling Romance' is set to premiere in the second half of this year.
